Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to build and maintain scalable, high-performance enterprise applications serving a large global user base. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, microservices, REST APIs, payment gateway integrations, and checkout platform development, along with a product engineering mindset and a focus on reliability, performance, and secure software delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and microservices architecture.

- Build secure, high-performance REST APIs and distributed services to support enterprise applications.

- Develop and enhance checkout platforms, payment workflows, and payment gateway integrations to enable seamless and reliable transactions.

- Integrate payment systems with internal services and external platforms, ensuring data consistency, security, and transaction reliability.

- Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Participate in system design, architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.

- Develop unit and integration tests to ensure code quality, application stability, and functional correctness.

- Work with React.js components and frontend integrations to support end-to-end application functionality.

- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated build and deployment processes, and containerized application deployments.

- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize application performance and reliability.

- Apply engineering best practices for secure coding, maintainability, scalability, and distributed system design.

- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and engineering excellence.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5 - 10 years of experience in Java development and enterprise application engineering.

- Strong hands-on proficiency in Java and microservices architecture.

- Experience designing and developing REST APIs and distributed backend services.

- Hands-on experience with payment gateway integrations and checkout platform development.

- Good understanding of payment processing workflows, transaction handling, and API integrations.

- Experience with React.js and frontend-backend integration.

- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and software engineering principles.

- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and debugging.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and containerized deployments.

- Experience troubleshooting production issues and optimizing application performance.

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
