The DevOps Analyst/Prod Support Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining the efficiency, stability, and resiliency of production applications. This position acts as the first line of support for both business and IT teams, ensuring seamless operations in the production environment.

Role & Responsibilities :

Production Support and Application Monitoring :

- The primary responsibility of the role is to provide front line support to business and IT teams.

- The engineer ensures that production applications are operating optimally, addressing any issues that may affect efficiency or stability. This involves constant monitoring and troubleshooting, particularly for Azure cloud applications, to guarantee high availability and performance.

CI/CD Pipeline Management :

- The DevOps Analyst is tasked with configuring, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.

- By bridging the gap between development and operations, the engineer works to streamline deployment processes, reduce downtime, and improve the overall reliability of application delivery.

Incident Management and Troubleshooting :

- Providing round-the-clock support is essential in this role. The engineer is responsible for detecting, analyzing, and resolving production issues, including performance bottlenecks and deployment failures. Swift response and effective troubleshooting are vital to maintain system stability and minimize disruption.

System Monitoring and Reliability :

- Implementing comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions is a key duty. Tools such as Dynatrace is used to track system performance and availability.

- These solutions help ensure that any anomalies are detected early and addressed promptly, supporting high reliability in production systems.

Automation and Scripting :

- To reduce manual intervention and streamline operations, the engineer writes scripts.

- Automation of repetitive tasks enhances productivity and allows for more efficient management of the production environment.

Collaboration and Security :

- The DevOps Analyst collaborates closely with development and QA teams to optimize workflows.

- By implementing best practices and focusing on security, the engineer helps ensure that production systems are robust and protected against potential threats.

Disaster Recovery, Production Installs, and Maintenance Support :

- The DevOps Analyst/Prod Support Engineer actively participates in disaster recovery (DR) activities to ensure the resilience and continuity of production systems. This includes supporting critical production installations as well as scheduled weekend maintenance tasks.

- The role requires effective coordination and diligent oversight during these events to maintain system stability and minimize operational disruptions.

Shift Flexibility :

Flexibility is a key requirement for this position. The engineer must be willing to work shifts aligned with APAC or EMEA time zones, depending on business needs.
