Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications using Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.

- Architect and deploy cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) leveraging Kubernetes (GKE), CloudSQL, BigQuery, and other GCP services.

- Develop automation tools and scripts using Shell/Bash, Python, or equivalent scripting languages for deployment and operational tasks.

- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools to ensure continuous integration and deployment.

- Manage infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Bicep.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployments and optimal performance.

- Troubleshoot complex system and cloud issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide long-term fixes.

- Ensure all development and deployment practices adhere to security, compliance, and governance standards.

Required Skills :

- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development (Java 8/11/17).

- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Hibernate, and legacy Java frameworks.

- Extensive experience with GCP services particularly Kubernetes (GKE), CloudSQL, and BigQuery.

- Proven expertise in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, etc.).

- Proficiency in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

- Strong scripting capabilities using Shell/Bash and Python.

- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, or Bicep for infrastructure automation.

- Sound understanding of cloud security, monitoring, and logging best practices.

- Experience working in Agile environments and managing complex, large-scale enterprise systems.

- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Knowledge of databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or other RDBMS.

- Exposure to financial messaging systems (SWIFT, ISO 20022) is an added advantage.

- Experience in microservices architecture and distributed systems.

- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Azure Monitor.

- Prior leadership or mentorship experience in technical project teams.
