Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize large-scale database systems, including both Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and Time Series Databases.

Must Have : Strong experience with at least one or more RDBMS (Oracle / SQL Server / MySQL / PostgreSQL) and Time Series Databases (e.g., QuestDB).

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, set up, and maintain database systems (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)

- Monitor database performance and improve speed and efficiency

- Ensure databases run smoothly in high-traffic, real-time environments

- Design database solutions for new projects and applications

Work closely with developers on :

- Database design,Query performance improvement,Data migration

- Perform regular maintenance tasks like backups, recovery, and issue fixing

- Handle database crashes and resolve performance problems quickly

- Ensure high availability and set up replication and disaster recovery systems

- Integrate databases with different applications for smooth data flow

- Plan and execute data migration activities

- Maintain clear documentation for database setups and processes

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

- 7-8 years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA)

- Strong knowledge of databases like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL

- Experience with Time Series Databases (e.g., QuestDB or similar)

Good understanding of :

- Performance tuning,Query optimization,Indexing

- Hands-on experience with backup, recovery, and high availability setups

- Proficiency in PL/SQL, T-SQL, and basic shell scripting

- Familiarity with cloud databases like AWS RDS or Azure SQL

- Basic knowledge of DevOps tools and practices

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
