Job Title: EUC Linux Consultant

Experience: 5-10 Years


Employment Type: Full-Time


Role Overview :


We are seeking a skilled EUC (End User Computing) Linux Consultant to manage, support, and optimize Linux-based end-user environments.


The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Linux administration, endpoint management, automation, and L3/L4 troubleshooting, ensuring seamless user experience and system reliability across enterprise environments.


Key Responsibilities :


Linux & Endpoint Management :


- Administer and support Linux-based endpoints (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.) in enterprise environments

- Manage user environments, desktop configurations, and endpoint security policies

- Ensure system performance, stability, and compliance with organizational standards

Advanced Troubleshooting (L3/L4) :


- Provide L3/L4 level support for complex issues related to OS, applications, and endpoint configurations

- Diagnose and resolve issues related to system performance, authentication, networking, and software conflicts

- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures

User Environment & Authentication :


- Troubleshoot and manage authentication mechanisms (LDAP, Active Directory integration, SSO)

- Support user access, permissions, and environment-related issues

- Ensure secure and seamless login/access experiences

Automation & Configuration Management :


- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, and Ansible

- Manage infrastructure and configurations using tools like Puppet

- Automate repetitive tasks, patching, provisioning, and compliance checks

ITSM & Incident Management :


- Handle incidents, service requests, and problem tickets via ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools

- Ensure timely resolution of tickets within defined SLAs

- Maintain proper documentation and ticket updates

Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication :


- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Infra, Security, Network, DevOps)

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on incidents and resolutions

- Participate in change management and release processes

Documentation & Knowledge Management :


- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles in tools like Confluence

- Track tasks, bugs, and improvements using Jira

- Ensure version control and collaboration through GitHub


Required Skills & Qualifications :


Technical Skills :


- Strong experience in Linux system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)

- Expertise in L3/L4 troubleshooting for OS, endpoints, and user environments

- Hands-on experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow preferred)

- Proficiency in configuration management tools (Puppet)

- Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python

- Experience with Ansible for automation and orchestration

- Knowledge of authentication systems (LDAP, AD, Kerberos, SSO)

- Familiarity with version control and collaboration tools (GitHub, Jira, Confluence)

Soft Skills :


- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, SLA-driven environment

- Proactive mindset with attention to detail


Preferred Qualifications :


- Certifications in Linux (RHCE/RHCSA) or relevant technologies

- Experience in enterprise EUC environments

- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus

- Knowledge of endpoint security and compliance frameworks
