Job Title : Senior Manager - Product Engineering
Experience : 15 to 18 years
Job Summary :
An experienced technical lead who has an understanding of enterprise solutions, across multiple languages, time zones and countries using multiple business processes and technologies within a product/technology family. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment and decision-making, to manage ETP products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies and improves methodology, company procedures, and best practices. Is a strong people manager.
Operates independently to manage the product development and releases, provide deliveries to customers. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need judgment. Demonstrates managerial and technical expertise for delivering the products with high quality and on time.
Key Responsibilities :
- Primarily responsible for managing product releases to deliver within time, scope, budget and adherence to process & quality standards.
- Engage in hands-on activities like technical guidance, in-depth analysis, review and design of the software, including technical review and analysis of source code will include reviews of in-house developed code, as well as review of technologies provided by 3rd party vendors.
- Organizing sprint planning meetings, getting estimates from Scrum masters, and working with product managers to prioritize sprint tasks
- Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery
- Product Owner Support : Support the Product Owner in grooming backlog, managing project scope, and setting customer expectations for project deliverables.
- Responsible for software engineering processes, QA, practices, standards, templates, tools and operations to ensure reproducible development and high quality, while keeping costs under control
- Track Resource utilization across the development & QA teams and ensure effective and efficient utilization of resources.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees; mentoring, planning, assigning, directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Guide team on complex business logic development, testing and deployment areas
- Carrying out key feature development by yourself along with managing the team members.
Skills & Experience :
- Experience in handling teams of technical specialists for developing the product to the customer on the cloud, first time right
- Hands-on code development.
- 15 + years of total experience
- Experience in Java Microservices, Angular, MySQL, Cloud operations and Rest Web Services technologies
- Aware of CI & CD tools likes Jenkins
- Aware of Dockers environment & Linux OS (Ubuntu)
- Managing multiple scrum teams & QA team.
