Role : Java Architect Application Development & Architecture / PES Practice Head

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Technology Leader / PES Practice Head with 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, and managing enterprise-scale applications across diverse technology stacks. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Java/J2EE, Microservices, Spring Boot, Cloud technologies, and AI-enabled development tools, along with proven leadership and customer-facing capabilities. The candidate will be responsible for driving technical strategy, architecture, engineering excellence, team leadership, customer engagement, and practice growth.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Technical Leadership & Architecture :

- Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications using Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST.

- Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance systems while driving coding standards and engineering best practices.

- Drive architecture decisions for complex enterprise applications, including low-code/no-code platforms.

- Provide technical direction and contribute to the overall PES practice strategy and growth.

2. Practice & Team Leadership :

- Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams and drive end-to-end SDLC and Agile delivery.

- Define development processes, code review standards, Dev/Test practices, and release processes.

- Support hiring, capability building, mentoring, and performance improvement across the practice.

- Drive continuous improvement, engineering excellence, and adoption of modern technologies.

3. Customer & Stakeholder Management :

- Act as a senior technical point of contact for customers and stakeholders.

- Understand customer requirements, propose innovative solutions, and drive technical discussions.

- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and leadership teams to deliver customer-centric solutions.

4. AI & Modern Engineering :

- Demonstrated experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar tools in day-to-day software development.

- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices to improve engineering productivity, quality, and delivery.

- Exposure to AI/ML, Generative AI, or LLM-based solutions is an added advantage.

5. Cloud & Infrastructure :

- Strong experience with AWS, including cloud architecture and cost optimization.

- Exposure to Python, Node.js, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Kafka, MySQL, Redis, Linux/Solaris, and distributed environments.

- Understanding of virtualization, cloud management platforms, monitoring, and enterprise infrastructure.

6. Hands-on Development :

- Contribute to architecture, coding, API design, unit testing, debugging, and technical problem-solving when required.

- Experience building APIs, utilities, and cloud-based components for large-scale applications.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field.

- 10+ years of experience in application development, architecture, and engineering leadership.

- Proven experience leading engineering teams and driving PES practice/technical leadership.

- Strong experience in enterprise architecture, scalable platforms, and customer-facing engagements.

- Strong communication, stakeholder management, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.

- Willingness to work 5 days from the Yelahanka, Bengaluru office.
