Role Overview :
Equifax is seeking a creative, high-energy, and driven UI Developer with strong hands-on experience in modern front-end technologies. The ideal candidate is passionate about building intuitive, scalable, and high-performing user interfaces and enjoys working in agile, collaborative engineering teams using cutting-edge technologies.
What Youll Do :
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive and user-friendly UI components. Build high-quality front-end solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern UI frameworks.
- Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to translate business requirements into effective UI solutions.
- Optimize UI applications for performance, scalability, security, and accessibility. Diagnose and resolve UI performance issues and cross-browser compatibility problems.
- Contribute to existing codebases and quickly adapt to unfamiliar UI components. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented front-end code.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimations, code reviews, and agile ceremonies.
- Ensure UI applications meet quality standards through unit testing and UI automation.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and follow modern UI development best practices.
Required Experience & Skills :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. 2+ years of hands-on experience in UI / Frontend development.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- Experience with Angular or similar front-end frameworks.
- Good understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and UI performance optimization. Experience with version control systems such as Git/GitHub.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience working with REST APIs and integrating UI with backend services.
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
What Could Set You Apart :
- Strong experience with Angular, Bootstrap, or modern UI libraries. Understanding of backend technologies such as Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservices (integration perspective).
- Experience with CI/CD tools, build tools like Maven or Gradle.
- Knowledge of automated UI testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
- Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence). Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently.
- Passion for clean UI design, usability, and performance excellence.
