Overview :

As a Systems Engineer, you will provide engineering support including design, development and implementation of Datacenter, Public and Private cloud networking.

YOUR IMPACT :

The essential functions of this position include :

- Design, implement, and debug high-performance networking and backend solutions.

- Build and optimize reliable backend systems using C++.

- Develop deployment plans for network equipment and assist in product upgrades and technology refreshes.

- Plan, install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, VPNs, and firewalls in collaboration with infrastructure teams.

- Collaborate with application teams, project managers, and vendors to identify and recommend technical solutions.

- Create and review detailed technical documents including CRD, LLD, HLD, SOW, and Runbooks based on vendor/client requirements.

- Provide knowledge transfer, training, and ensure high-quality documentation in partnership with documentation teams.

- Participate in cross-team code reviews, planning sessions, and troubleshooting activities.

- Work closely with global teams to support seamless product integration and delivery.

Qualifications :

- At least 5+ years of practical experience working with various datacenter related (network and system) technologies

- Experience working with Cisco Nexus technologies; must possess a solid understanding of data network systems, routing and layer 2/3 protocols

- Experience on VPN technologies like IPsec protocol and implementation on routers and firewalls

- Must have a strong background with TCP/IP and related protocols; and networking products such as Ethernet switches, IP routers and firewalls

- Cisco : CCNA/CCNP certification is a plus

- VMware : VCP-DCV or equivalent Virtualization technology is a plus

- Strong knowledge of IT, desktop/server, security practices and networking concepts

- Working knowledge of IT and programming concepts (programming not required)

- Excellent Communication, interpersonal and analytical skills

- Strong organizational skills; willing to coordinate the work of others

- Expert knowledge of Cisco equipment and technologies, including Cisco Nexus to support Data, virtualization and Storage infrastructures

- Good understanding of L2, L3 and L4 technologies to configure and implement layer 2/3/4 functionality for relevant devices

- Experience in Cisco UCS servers, VMware and Storage Technologies /products

- Experience on SDN technologies cisco ACI are preferred

- Previous exposure to any public cloud (AWS,Azure etc) networking is preferred

- Understanding on Cisco vxlan and Nexus platforms are preferred
