Responsibilities :
- Lead, mentor, and manage team development, performance, and career growth.
- Drive and own the software development life cycle (SDLC) : planning, execution, code quality, and timely delivery.
- Ensure hands-on technical guidance, including involvement in code/design reviews, architectural discussions, and tech decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, QA, and other Engineering teams to define project scope and delivery timelines.
- Own performance management cycles end-to-end, including OKRs, feedback, and appraisals.
- Hire and build high-performing teams while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
Requirements :
- 11+ years of experience in software development with 2-3+ years in formal engineering management roles.
- Proven experience managing teams of 6-12 engineers; open to candidates who've handled slightly smaller/larger teams with relevant experience.
- Strong coding background in Python or Java - ability to engage in meaningful code/design reviews and provide technical mentorship.
- Deep expertise in System Design (HLD and LLD), architecture principles, and best practices for building scalable systems.
- Experience handling end-to-end performance appraisals and building growth plans for team members.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, Git, etc.
