The India R& D team plays a central role in driving product and technology innovation, working closely with global stakeholders in a high-impact, fast-paced environment.

We're looking for passionate and self-driven engineers who combine strong backend development expertise with strategic product and system thinking. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building scalable systems, influencing architecture, and balancing hands-on delivery with long-term technical vision.

Responsibilities :

- Build scalable, reliable backend services and APIs that power the product.

- Design, implement, and maintain databases with a strong focus on integrity, security, and performance.

- Implement core application logic, handling data processing, user requests, and system operations.

- Contribute to system architecture and lead design discussions for new features and services.

- Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to shape the product roadmap.

- Optimise systems for performance, scalability, and security.

- Ensure high code quality through unit tests, code reviews, and documentation.

- Own end-to-end feature development from design to deployment and monitoring.

- Mentor junior engineers and set high standards for engineering excellence.

Requirements :

- Extensive hands-on experience with JavaScript / TypeScript.

- Backend development using Node.js and Express.js .

- Strong experience with MySQL, including complex queries and performance tuning.

- Experience working in a high-growth, product-based startup.

- Prior experience building B2C applications.

- Exposure to system design and scalable, high-availability architectures.

- Ability to think strategically about system design (why and how).

- Experience with Sequelize, MongoDB, and AWS.

- Proven experience optimising backend systems for speed and scalability.

- Experience building or leading teams in fast-paced environments.
