About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Engineering Manager to lead high-performing engineering teams and drive end-to-end delivery of scalable software products.

This role requires a balance of people leadership, technical expertise, architecture ownership, and delivery management. The ideal candidate should have a strong backend engineering background, hands-on development experience, and proven experience managing engineering teams in product-driven environments.

The candidate will also contribute towards engineering innovation by enabling modern AI-driven development practices and intelligent automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor a team of 5- 10 software engineers across product initiatives.

- Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale software projects.

- Collaborate with Product, QA, Design, and Business stakeholders for roadmap execution.

- Participate in technical discussions, architecture reviews, and engineering decisions.

- Provide hands-on technical guidance and contribute to coding when required.

- Ensure scalability, reliability, performance, and code quality across systems.

- Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and establish engineering best practices.

- Drive Agile delivery processes and improve team productivity.

- Manage team performance, career growth, and regular feedback discussions.

- Support hiring, onboarding, and team scaling initiatives.

- Drive adoption of AI-powered engineering practices and automation frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 12+ years of software development experience.

- Minimum 2+ years in Engineering Management or Technical Leadership roles.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs

- Strong understanding of: Microservices Architecture, Distributed Systems & Cloud-native Applications

- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform.

- Experience with SDLC, Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

- Proven experience in team leadership, mentoring, and delivery ownership.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in SaaS, Healthcare, or FinTech domains.

- Exposure to React.js.

- Familiarity with Kafka, Spark, MongoDB, Databricks, or AWS Sagemaker.

- Experience using GenAI development tools such as Cursor, Codex, or Claude Code.

- Understanding of Agentic AI systems and intelligent automation frameworks.

- Experience scaling engineering teams.

- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as SOC2, GDPR, or HITRUST.
