Job Description

Responsibilities :


- Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and productivity.


- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to define and prioritise product requirements and project timelines.


- Oversee the development and implementation of software projects, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.


- Utilise your expertise in release management to ensure smooth and timely software deployments, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners as necessary.


- Drive the adoption of agile methodologies, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices to optimise the software development lifecycle.


- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to leverage new tools or frameworks to enhance our tech stack.


- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.


- Participate in the recruitment and onboarding process of new engineering team members, ensuring the right talent is hired and integrated effectively.


- Monitor and manage resource allocation and project timelines to ensure successful project delivery within schedule constraints.


Requirements :


- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.


- Proven work experience as an Engineering Manager, with a minimum of 10-12 years in software development.


- Strong hands-on experience with our tech stack, including Java Spring Boot, Redis Cache, Postgres DB, microservice architecture, and Kubernetes.


- Demonstrated experience in release management, ensuring successful software deployments and coordinating with stakeholders.


- Previous experience in a startup environment is highly desirable, with a track record of driving innovation and managing projects from conception to completion.


- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.


- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset.


- Experience with agile methodologies, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.


- Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and deployment models, such as AWS, is a plus.
