As an Engineering Manager you will drive the development and execution of our engineering strategies, fostering innovation and excellence across all engineering activities. You will oversee a team of engineers, ensuring successful project execution across multiple initiatives. You will work closely with technical leaders, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance applications that drive Newmark's operational success. This role demands an experienced manager who can lead with empathy, foster a culture of growth, and balance technical oversight with strategic project management.

- Project Oversight : Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.

- Technical Excellence : Ensure the technical integrity of our solutions, incorporating best practices in software architecture, design, and development. Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to maintain competitive advantage.

- Process Optimization : Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes and workflows for greater efficiency, quality, and scalability.

- Leadership and Vision : Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a diverse engineering team, with a strong vision for the future of technology in the industry.

- Technical Expertise : Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, REST APIs, and frontend technologies like Angular and React.

- Project Management : Strong strategic planning and project management skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable engineering strategies.

- Cloud Architecture : Extensive experience with Azure services, including Azure Functions, SQL Server, and DevOps (CI/CD).

- Database Management : Expertise in SQL databases, schema design, and ORM technologies like Entity Framework Core.

- Problem Solving : Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to addressing technical and organizational challenges.

- Communication & Collaboration : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and foster a collaborative environment.

- Adaptability : Eagerness to embrace new technologies and methodologies, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and technology landscapes.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- 13+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a Tech. Leadership role.

- Proven track record of leading the design and implementation of enterprise-grade applications, particularly within the Azure ecosystem.

- Extensive experience with modern software development practices, cloud-based services (preferably Azure), and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, C#, and Entity Framework Core is essential.

- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale, complex projects from inception to completion, with a strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
