Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Lead with 18 - 20+ years of strong software engineering experience, primarily from a .NET/C# background, to lead a strategic AI engineering initiative. This role requires a strong combination of hands-on engineering, AI adoption, architecture, and people management. The ideal candidate will translate AI opportunities into scalable engineering solutions.

Required Technical Background:

- 18 - 20+ years of overall software engineering experience.

- Strong and demonstrable .NET / C# engineering background.

- Extensive experience with enterprise-scale software/application development.

- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, APIs, microservices and distributed systems.

- Experience leading large or complex engineering teams.

- Strong understanding of cloud-native engineering and modern application architecture.

AI Expertise:

- Experience with AI/Generative AI initiatives, preferably involving:

- LLM-based applications

- AI-assisted software engineering

- AI agents / agentic workflows

- AI development frameworks/harnesses

- RAG and vector-based architectures

- AI APIs and model integration

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the engineering team responsible for the organisation's AI initiatives.

- Drive the adoption and implementation of AI tools, frameworks, and platforms.

- Define engineering approaches for integrating Generative AI/LLMs into enterprise applications.

- Provide technical leadership across architecture, scalability, security and quality.

- Lead and mentor senior engineers and architects while building a high-performing culture.

- Establish engineering standards, development practices, and technical governance.

- Work closely with product and business stakeholders to convert AI opportunities into production-ready solutions.

- Manage technical dependencies, risks and delivery priorities.
