Description :

We're seeking an Engineering Lead / Architect to design, build, and guide the development of our next-generation voice AI platform. This role combines deep technical expertise with hands-on leadership, shaping architecture, mentoring engineers, and ensuring we deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities :

- Own the overall technical architecture and system design of our platform (including APIs, services, data layers, and integrations).

- Choose appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to align with business and product goals.

- Define and review API contracts, data models, and infrastructure components.

- Break down product features into detailed engineering tasks and estimate effort.

- Set and enforce coding standards, security practices, and performance guidelines.

- Mentor, coach, and review code from engineering team members.

- Collaborate closely with Product, UX, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure alignment and quality.

- Oversee scalability, reliability, and cost optimization of cloud infrastructure.

- Contribute hands-on to critical components, especially during initial builds or high-impact phases.

Requirements :

- 6+ years of engineering experience, with 2+ years in a lead or architect role.

- Strong experience designing and building large-scale, distributed systems (preferably cloud-native, microservices).

- Deep knowledge of API design, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and event-driven architectures.

- Hands-on expertise with technologies such as Node.js or TypeScript (additionally, Python is a plus).

- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.

- Strong understanding of CI/CD, security best practices, and monitoring.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to translate between technical and business needs.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with AI/ML systems, voice tech, or real-time streaming architectures.

- Familiarity with WebSockets, ASR, or NLU/NLP pipelines.

- Prior startup or scale-up environment experience.
