About the Role :

We're seeking an Engineering Lead / Architect to design, build, and guide the development of our next-generation voice AI platform. This role combines deep technical expertise with hands-on leadership - shaping architecture, mentoring engineers, and ensuring we deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own the overall technical architecture and system design of our platform (including APIs, services, data layers, and integrations)

- Choose appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to align with business and product goals

- Define and review API contracts, data models, and infrastructure components

- Break down product features into detailed engineering tasks and estimate effort

- Set and enforce coding standards, security practices, and performance guidelines

- Mentor, coach, and review code from engineering team members

- Collaborate closely with Product, UX, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure alignment and quality

- Oversee scalability, reliability, and cost optimization of cloud infrastructure

- Contribute hands-on to critical components, especially during initial builds or high-impact phases

Requirements :

- 6+ years of engineering experience, with 2+ years in a lead or architect role

- Strong experience designing and building large-scale, distributed systems (preferably cloud-native, microservices)

- Deep knowledge of API design, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and event-driven architectures

- Hands-on expertise with technologies such as Node.js or TypeScript (additionally Python is a plus).

- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services

- Strong understanding of CI/CD, security best practices, and monitoring
