Role Overview :

We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Lead - UI Web to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance web applications.

This role combines strong hands-on UI engineering with technical leadership, delivery ownership, and engineering governance.

The Engineering Lead will be responsible for UI architecture, frontend performance, code quality, and mentoring engineers, while working closely with product, backend, and QA teams to deliver reliable, user-centric web platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership :

- Lead UI web development using React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Node.js.

- Own frontend architecture, component design, and state management patterns.

- Define and enforce UI coding standards, best practices, and reusable frameworks.

- Drive performance optimization, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.

- Review code, manage technical debt, and ensure long-term maintainability.

Delivery & Execution :

- Own end-to-end UI delivery for assigned modules or platforms.

- Translate business and product requirements into scalable UI solutions.

- Plan sprint execution, manage dependencies, and ensure predictable delivery.

- Identify technical risks early and propose mitigation strategies.

Team Leadership :

- Mentor and guide UI engineers; support technical growth and capability building.

- Act as the escalation point for complex UI, performance, or production issues.

- Foster strong engineering discipline, ownership, and accountability.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :

- Work closely with backend teams for API integration and contract alignment.

- Partner with UX/design teams to ensure consistent and intuitive user experiences.

- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure test coverage, defect resolution, and release readiness.

Required Skills & Experience :

Must-Have :

- 7+ years of experience in UI / Web application development.

- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and React.

- Experience with Node.js for server-side rendering or backend-for-frontend patterns.

- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, responsive and adaptive design.

- Experience with REST APIs and asynchronous data handling.

- Solid understanding of frontend performance optimization and security best practices.

- Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines.

Good to Have :

- Experience with modern UI frameworks, design systems, or micro-frontend architecture.

- Exposure to automated testing (Jest, Cypress, Playwright, etc.

- Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery models.

- Prior experience leading or mentoring small to mid-sized engineering teams.
