We are seeking an experienced SAP MM Architect to lead the design, governance, and optimization of Materials Management (MM) solutions across SAP ECC and S/4HANA landscapes.
This role requires deep functional expertise, strong architecture skills, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and digital transformation goals.
The SAP MM Architect will work closely with business stakeholders, cross-functional SAP teams, and technical architects to drive end-to-end procure-to-pay (P2P) excellence and ensure best-practice SAP implementations.
Key Responsibilities :
Solution Architecture & Design :
- Own the end-to-end SAP MM solution architecture across ECC and S/4HANA environments.
- Design scalable, secure, and future-ready MM solutions aligned with business and IT strategy.
- Define global template standards, configuration guidelines, and architectural principles.
- Lead fit-gap analysis and recommend standard vs custom solutions.
SAP MM Functional Leadership :
- Provide deep expertise across core MM processes :
- Procurement (PR, PO, RFQ, Contracts)
- Inventory Management
- Valuation & Account Determination
- Vendor Master & Material Master
- Release Strategies & Approvals
- Ensure seamless integration with SAP SD, PP, QM, FI/CO, WM/EWM, Ariba, and SRM.
S/4HANA & Transformation Initiatives :
- Lead MM workstream for S/4HANA Greenfield, Brownfield, and Landscape Transformation programs.
- Drive adoption of S/4HANA innovations such as Simplification List impacts, MRP, and real-time analytics.
- Define data migration, master data governance, and process harmonization strategies.
- Support embedded analytics, Fiori app enablement, and UX improvements.
Governance, Quality & Delivery :
- Provide architectural oversight during build, test, and deployment phases.
- Review functional designs, configuration, and developments for quality and compliance.
- Define and enforce testing strategies including unit, integration, UAT, and regression testing.
- Ensure compliance with audit, security, and SOX requirements.
Stakeholder & Team Leadership :
- Act as trusted advisor to business leaders and program stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide SAP MM consultants and functional leads.
- Collaborate with Basis, Security, Integration, and Development teams.
- Support vendor management and offshore/onshore delivery models.
Key Skills & Competencies :
- Expert-level knowledge of SAP MM with strong architecture and design experience.
- End-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) domain expertise.
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA simplifications and innovations.
- Excellent integration knowledge across SAP modules and third-party tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, IT, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 10+ years of SAP MM experience, including architect or lead roles.
- Multiple full-lifecycle SAP implementations
