Job Summary :


We are seeking a highly skilled Elasticsearch Engineer with strong expertise in designing, optimizing, and managing scalable search systems. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Elasticsearch architecture, index design, and query performance tuning to support high-performance, low-latency search applications.


Key Responsibilities :


- Design, implement, and maintain scalable Elasticsearch clusters, ensuring high availability and reliability


- Develop and optimize index structures, mappings, and analyzers for efficient data retrieval


- Build and enhance full-text search capabilities, including relevance tuning, boosting, and fuzziness handling


- Define and implement effective sharding strategies for performance and scalability


- Manage Index Lifecycle Management (ILM) policies for data retention, rollover, and cost optimization


- Optimize search queries and reduce latency through advanced query tuning techniques


- Monitor cluster performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system health


- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient search solutions


Required Skills & Qualifications :


- Strong understanding of Elasticsearch architecture (clusters, nodes, shards, replicas)


- Hands-on experience with index design, mappings (keyword vs text), analyzers, and tokenizers


- Expertise in full-text search tuning (relevance scoring, boosting, fuzziness)


- Experience with sharding strategies and index lifecycle management (ILM)


- Proven ability to optimize queries and improve search performance and latency


- Familiarity with monitoring tools and debugging performance bottlenecks


- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
