About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced EDI Integration Engineer with deep expertise in Axway B2Bi to join our Data Engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and supporting B2B/EDI integrations with multiple trading partners, preferably with experience in US healthcare EDI transactions.

You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of integration solutions, ensuring seamless, secure, and compliant data exchange.

Primary Responsibilities :

Solution Design & Development :

- Design and implement EDI/B2B integrations using Axway B2Bi and related Axway modules (SecureTransport, Gateway Interchange).

- Configure and maintain B2B communication protocols : AS2, SFTP, FTP/S, OFTP, HTTP/S, MQ, API/REST.

- Develop and maintain mapping/transformation logic (XML, EDIFACT, ANSI X12, CSV, Flat File, JSON).

- Integrate EDI transactions with ERP, logistics, finance, and healthcare systems.

Integration & Deployment :

- Onboard new trading partners and manage partner configurations, mapping, and connectivity.

- Build, test, and deploy integration workflows in Axway B2Bi.

- Manage PKI certificates, encryption keys, and partner authentication.

- Deploy solutions via CI/CD pipelines; ensure proper version control and rollback procedures.

Operational Support :

- Monitor EDI traffic, troubleshoot message processing failures, and resolve partner connectivity issues.

- Perform root cause analysis and resolve issues impacting business critical transactions.

- Maintain EDI documentation, trading partner agreements, and operational runbooks.

- Implement and enforce security best practices including private network configuration, VPN access, and database access restrictions

Compliance & Security :

- Ensure adherence to industry standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, GS1, HIPAA).

- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.

- Apply secure design patterns for healthcare EDI compliance (HIPAA, PHI).

Collaboration & Leadership :

- Act as the SME for Axway B2Bi across integration and business teams.

- Mentor and train junior integration engineers.

- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams.

- Communicate complex integration concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications :

- 5+ years in EDI/B2B integration, 3+ years hands-on Axway B2Bi experience.

- Strong proficiency in EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, HIPAA).

- Proven experience with US healthcare EDI transactions (837, 835, 270/271).

- Expertise in communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTP/S, HTTP/S, OFTP, MQ, API/REST).

- Strong troubleshooting, performance optimization, and system monitoring skills.

- Ability to design scalable, secure, and resilient EDI integration solutions.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud (Azure/AWS).

- Strong mentoring, stakeholder management, and cross-team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

Axway B2Bi certification.

- Experience with Axway Secure Transport, API Gateway, AMPLIFY.

- Knowledge of ERP integration (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).

- Familiarity with scripting languages (Shell, Python, Perl) for automation.

- Cloud integration deployment experience (Azure, AWS).

- ITIL knowledge for incident/change management.

- Experience with performance monitoring tools and EDI transaction analytics
