About The Role :

We are looking for a Shopify Tech Lead who can architect, develop, and lead the implementation of complex Shopify solutions.

The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in Shopify Plus, app development, custom theme development, backend programming (NodeJS or Python), and integration with third-party systems (ERP, CRM, Payment gateways, etc.

Youll lead a team of Shopify developers, collaborate with cross-functional teams (UI/UX, QA, BA, PM), and ensure timely, high-quality deliveries aligned with client goals.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead end-to-end Shopify, Shopify Plus and Shopify for Enterprise development projects from requirement gathering to go-live.

- Architect scalable and high-performing Shopify solutions with a focus on performance, SEO, and conversion.

- Oversee and mentor the development team perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure best practices.

- Collaborate with the Sales team, Designers, BAs, and PMs to translate business needs into technical solutions, define architecture, provide an estimation and be able to give demos.

- Develop custom Shopify apps, backend services (using NodeJS or Python), API integrations, and third-party service connections.

- Manage Shopify migrations from other platforms like WooCommerce, Magento, or custom builds.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing Shopify stores.

- Drive automation, reusability, and adoption of AI-driven tools for faster and better-quality output.

- Ensure compliance with security, performance, and accessibility standards.

- Stay updated with new Shopify releases, Liquid updates, and eCommerce trends.

Technical Skills Required :

- Strong expertise in Shopify, Shopify Plus, and Liquid templating language.

- Experience in custom theme and app development (public and private).

- Proficiency in any one backend technology NodeJS or Python (NodeJS preferred).

- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, and REST/GraphQL APIs.

- Experience with Shopify API integrations (ERP, CRM, Payment, Shipping).

- Familiarity with Headless Commerce and frontend frameworks (ReactJS, Next.js) is a plus.

- Knowledge of Shopify CLI, GIT, Azure DevOps, and deployment pipelines.

- Experience in optimizing Shopify SEO, site speed, and conversion tracking.

- Understanding of Shopify Storefront API and Hydrogen framework (preferred).

- Good understanding of Shopify Apps ecosystem and marketplace submission guidelines.
