Role & Responsibilities :

- Design, develop and maintain backend features and RESTful APIs using PHP and Laravel following SOLID principles and clean architecture.

- Implement database schemas, write optimized queries, and maintain data integrity using MySQL and Eloquent ORM.

- Integrate third-party services (payment gateways, CRMs, analytics) and build secure authentication/authorization flows (JWT/OAuth).

- Write automated tests (unit and integration) and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and reliability.

- Containerize applications, collaborate on CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshoot performance, scalability, and security issues in production.

- Work closely with product, QA, and UI teams on feature design, estimation, and delivery while mentoring junior engineers.

Skills & Qualifications :

Must-Have :

- 4+ years of professional experience developing web applications with PHP and Laravel.

- Strong expertise with Eloquent ORM and relational database design (MySQL).

- Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.

- Proficient with version control using Git and dependency management with Composer.

- Experience with automated testing using PHPUnit and writing maintainable test suites.

- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and production deployment practices.

Preferred :

- Hands-on experience with caching and message stores such as Redis.

- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS) and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).

- Experience optimizing application performance and implementing security best practices.
