Sr. Database Administrator - AWS | Oracle/PostgreSQL

About the Role :
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Database Administrator to manage and optimize mission-critical database platforms across AWS and on-premises environments.
You will be responsible for database reliability, performance, availability, automation, disaster recovery, and production support while working closely with engineering and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage Oracle, PostgreSQL, Relational & NoSQL databases in production environments.
- Administer AWS database services, including Amazon RDS.
- Design and maintain HA, fault-tolerant and distributed database architectures.
- Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, capacity planning and optimization.
- Implement backup, restore, recovery and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
- Configure database monitoring, alerting and metrics using PMM, OEM and AWS monitoring tools.
- Automate database operations using Terraform/CloudFormation, Ansible and scripting.
- Support database upgrades, migrations, deployments and production releases.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call and critical production support.
- Mentor junior DBAs and act as a technical point of contact for database-related issues.
Must-Have Skills :
- 5+ years of hands-on Database Administration experience.
- Strong experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with AWS & Amazon RDS.
- Strong knowledge of High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Backup/Restore and Performance Tuning.
- Experience with Linux and production systems.
- Good understanding of database monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Education :
