Role Overview :
Are you an executive technical leader with a track record of driving both enterprise software engineering and high-impact Business Intelligence (BI) platforms?
We are seeking a Director / Head of Software Engineering & Business Intelligence to own the end-to-end lifecycle of our enterprise software applications and data analytics solutions. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex data architectures, application delivery, and executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Application & BI Platform Leadership:
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of core software applications, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security compliance.
- Drive the strategy, design, deployment, and operational maintenance of enterprise BI dashboards, data warehouses, and reporting platforms.
- Evaluate emerging technology trendsincluding cloud analytics, big data frameworks, and modern software architecturesto drive continuous innovation.
2. Team Management & Mentorship:
- Lead, mentor, and build high-performing teams of developers, BI analysts, data engineers, and technical leads.
- Establish clear career paths, conduct performance reviews, and foster an agile, quality-driven engineering culture.
- Enforce software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and thorough documentation standards.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Business Alignment:
- Partner closely with C-suite executives and business unit heads to translate high-level strategies into actionable technical solutions.
- Work alongside cross-functional IT operations, data engineering, and product management teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics to measure solution delivery and business impact.
4. Financial, Vendor & Portfolio Management:
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, resource allocation, and project portfolios.
- Oversee vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and third-party software licensing agreements.
Required Qualifications:
Core Experience:
- 15+ Years of Progressive Experience: Demonstrated leadership in enterprise software application development and Business Intelligence/Analytics ecosystems.
- Proven Executive Leadership: Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across software development, data engineering, and business intelligence.
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical & Strategic Mastery :
- BI & Analytics Expertise: Deep knowledge of enterprise BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar).
- Data Engineering & Warehousing: Solid understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle), and enterprise data warehousing.
- Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks, and modern DevOps practices.
- Business Acumen: Experience managing technology budgets, vendor SLAs, and complex project portfolios.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active certifications in Project/Agile Management (PMP, CSM) or Cloud/BI platforms.
- Exposure to big data technologies, predictive analytics, and advanced data modeling.
