We are seeking a Director Data Analytics to lead and scale our analytics function, delivering high-impact insights that directly support strategic and operational decision-making. This role will own the analytics vision, mentor high-performing teams, and embed a strong data-driven culture across the organization.

As a senior leader, you will partner closely with product, finance, operations, and commercial stakeholders to translate complex business problems into actionable analytical frameworks, enabling leadership to make informed, data-backed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development :

- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of analysts and data scientists, fostering technical excellence and strong business acumen.

- Establish best practices for analytics delivery, data governance, and insight storytelling.

- Build a high-performance, outcome-oriented analytics organization.

Business Partnership & Strategy :

- Collaborate with product, finance, operations, and commercial teams to identify, prioritize, and deliver analytics initiatives aligned with business objectives.

- Act as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, providing insights that influence roadmap, investment, and growth decisions.

- Translate business questions into structured analytical approaches and executive-ready narratives.

Analytics & Data Enablement :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated dashboards and KPI frameworks using tools such as Looker, Tableau, DBRX, or Power BI.

- Drive the creation of scalable data models, ETL pipelines, and data quality frameworks in close collaboration with data engineering teams.

- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of metrics across the organization.

Advanced Analysis & Insight Generation :

- Lead deep-dive analyses into customer behavior, product adoption, and operational and financial performance.

- Identify growth opportunities, risks, and optimization levers through advanced analytical techniques.

- Promote actionable insights through clear visualization and storytelling.

Data Culture & Enablement :

- Champion a data-driven culture by enabling self-service analytics, conducting training, and improving data literacy across teams.

- Standardize definitions, KPIs, and reporting to ensure a single source of truth.

- Elevate analytics as a core strategic capability within the organization.

Required Qualifications :

- 10+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science.

- 3+ years of experience in a people leadership or analytics management role, preferably in a startup or high-growth technology environment.

- Strong expertise in SQL and hands-on experience with BI platforms such as Looker, Tableau, DBRX, and Power BI.

- Experience with modern data stack components including Snowflake, dbt, and Python or R.

- Proven ability to translate business requirements into impactful analytical deliverables.

- Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional global teams, including product, engineering, and finance.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in SaaS, e-commerce, or B2B marketplace environments.

- Industry exposure to biotech, procurement, or life sciences is a strong advantage.

- Familiarity with analytics engineering concepts and cloud-based data platforms.

- Hands-on experience building executive KPI dashboards, performance reporting, and metrics frameworks.

- Comfort working in a global, distributed environment with stakeholders across the U.S. and Europe.
