Roles & Responsibilities :
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps/Cloud engineers, providing technical direction, guidance, and career development.
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, highly available, and secure cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Define and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or equivalent tools.
- Architect, build, and optimize end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes and Docker environments for production workloads.
- Establish DevOps standards, engineering practices, deployment strategies, and automation frameworks across development teams.
- Drive automation of infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, environment management, and operational processes.
- Implement and improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK, Datadog, or equivalent.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, performance, disaster recovery, and reliability of production environments.
- Lead production incident management, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis (RCA), and post-incident improvements.
- Implement cloud security best practices covering IAM, secrets management, network security, vulnerability management, and secure CI/CD.
- Drive cloud cost optimization and resource efficiency through appropriate architecture, automation, and FinOps practices.
- Collaborate closely with Development, QA, Security, Architecture, and Product teams to improve software delivery and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate new DevOps, Cloud, Platform Engineering, and AI-assisted automation technologies and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Establish engineering metrics and continuously improve deployment frequency, lead time, reliability, availability, and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to architecture and technology decisions and ensure solutions follow scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability best practices.
Preferred Candidate Profile :
- 5 - 10 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, SRE, Platform Engineering, or related roles.
- At least 2 - 3 years of experience in a technical leadership or team-lead capacity.
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker, preferably in production environments.
- Strong experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
- Good scripting/programming skills in Python, Bash, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Strong understanding of Linux, networking, DNS, load balancing, security, and cloud architecture.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK, Datadog, or Splunk.
- Strong understanding of DevOps, SRE, automation, release management, and production operations.
- Experience handling high-availability production systems, incident management, RCA, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.
- Understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and security integration into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Git-based development workflows and modern software engineering practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop engineers while remaining technically involved.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Engineering, QA, Security, Product, and Architecture teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Cloud/Kubernetes certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP, CKA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
