DevOps Engineer - Python/Kubernetes

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team in Bangalore.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Python, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS services, with a focus on building scalable, reliable, secure, and automated cloud infrastructure.

You will work closely with development, product, and infrastructure teams to improve deployment processes, infrastructure automation, system reliability, and cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, deployment, and release processes.

- Manage and orchestrate containerized applications using Kubernetes.

- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.

- Write automation scripts and tools using Python to improve operational efficiency.

- Work with AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, Amazon Bedrock, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation.

- Monitor infrastructure and applications, identify performance issues, and implement solutions to improve system reliability.

- Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability practices using AWS and other relevant tools.

- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, networking, and production issues.

- Implement cloud security, access controls, and best practices across infrastructure and deployments.

- Collaborate with software engineers to optimize application deployment and infrastructure requirements.

- Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis, and preventive action planning.

- Continuously evaluate and implement DevOps tools and practices to improve scalability, automation, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills :

- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related field.

- Strong programming/scripting experience in Python.

- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.

- Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.

- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services, particularly :

i. AWS Lambda

ii. Amazon DynamoDB

iii. Amazon Bedrock

iv. Amazon CloudWatch

v. AWS CloudFormation

- Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment automation.

- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and monitoring.

- Experience troubleshooting production environments and resolving complex infrastructure issues.

- Good understanding of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.

Education : B.Tech / B.E in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
