DevOps Engineer - Google Cloud Platform

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform modules to automate cloud resource provisioning.

- Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated application deployment.

- Configure and manage GCP Identity and Access Management (IAM), Workload Identity Federation (WIF), and service accounts following security best practices.

- Design and implement secure networking solutions, including VPCs, firewall rules, private networking, and connectivity across cloud environments.

- Deploy and manage GCP Load Balancers, Cloud Armor (WAF), SSL certificates, and traffic routing configurations.

- Deploy and support containerized applications using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Cloud Run.

- Manage Compute Engine instances, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery resources.

- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Google Cloud Operations Suite (Cloud Monitoring & Cloud Logging).

- Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot deployment issues, and resolve production incidents to ensure high platform availability.

- Perform vulnerability assessments, patch management, and security remediation using Security Command Center and other security tools.

- Implement DevSecOps practices by integrating security scanning into CI/CD pipelines.

- Optimize cloud resource utilization and recommend cost-saving strategies without compromising performance.

- Collaborate with application development, security, networking, and infrastructure teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.

- Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.

- Ensure cloud infrastructure complies with organizational security, governance, and compliance standards.

Required Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

- Experience building and maintaining GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.

- Strong understanding of IAM Roles, Policies, Service Accounts, and Workload Identity Federation (WIF).

- Experience with VPC Networking, Firewall Rules, Private Connectivity, and Cloud DNS.

- Knowledge of Cloud Load Balancers, Cloud Armor (WAF), and SSL/TLS configuration.

- Experience deploying applications on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Cloud Run.

- Hands-on experience with Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery.

- Strong understanding of monitoring and logging using Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.

- Experience with Security Command Center, vulnerability management, and cloud security best practices.

- Good knowledge of Linux administration and shell scripting.

- Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

- Familiarity with Git version control and Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer Certification.

- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Certification.

- Experience with DevSecOps tools and security automation.

- Knowledge of cloud governance, compliance, and cost optimization.

- Experience working in enterprise-scale cloud migration or modernization projects.
