- Cloud Infrastructure Management
:
Design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available, and secure cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS and GCP.

- Deployment and Collaboration
:
Work directly with development teams on a day-to-day basis to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot their services in pre-production and production environments.

- Optimization and Cost Management
:
Continuously monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency in close collaboration with the DevOps Lead and Engineering Lead.

- CI/CD Pipeline Management
:
Develop, maintain, and enhance robust CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools) to facilitate rapid and reliable software releases.

- Automation
:
Champion automation for infrastructure provisioning (Infrastructure as Code - e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), configuration management (e.g., Ansible, Puppet), and routine operational tasks.

- Monitoring and Logging
:
Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to ensure the health and performance of all services.

- Security and Compliance
:
Implement and enforce security best practices across the infrastructure and CI/CD process.

- Cluster Management & Operations
:
Designing, deploying, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining secure, highly available, and scalable Kafka clusters in production environments (both on-premises and cloud, such as AWS MSK).

- Documentation
:
Create and maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and troubleshooting guides.

Required Skills and Experience
:

- Cloud Platforms
:
Proven professional experience managing production workloads on either AWS or GCP (expertise in both is highly desirable).

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
:
Hands-on experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning.

- CI/CD
:
Strong working knowledge of setting up and managing CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).

- Containerization
:
Experience with container technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

- Scripting
:
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, or Go) for automation tasks.

- Kafka Ecosystem Expertise
:
Strong hands-on knowledge of Apache Kafka architecture, including brokers, topics, partitions, replication (ISR), controllers, Zookeeper, Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, and/or the Confluent platform.

- Operating Systems
:
Deep understanding of Linux operating systems.

- Networking
:
Solid knowledge of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, load balancing, DNS, and firewalls.

- Version Control
:
Expert use of Git.
