DevOps Director

Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Director and Director- DevOps with 10+ years of overall experience, including strong leadership exposure, to lead and scale our DevOps function. This role will be responsible for driving DevOps strategy, managing high-performing teams, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud platforms, automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure management, along with proven experience in team leadership, stakeholder management, and organizational transformation. DevOps leaders play a critical role in bridging development and operations while accelerating delivery and maintaining system stability. ()

Key Responsibilities :

1. Leadership & Team Management:

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of DevOps engineers, ensuring high performance and continuous skill development

- Define team goals, KPIs, and performance metrics aligned with business objectives

- Drive hiring, onboarding, and capability building within the DevOps team

- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

- Act as a key escalation point for technical and operational challenges

2. DevOps Strategy & Transformation:

- Define and implement the organization's DevOps roadmap and best practices

- Drive DevOps maturity, including CI/CD adoption, automation, and DevSecOps practices

- Standardize processes across teams to improve efficiency and reduce deployment risks

- Promote a culture of automation and continuous delivery across engineering teams

3. CI/CD & Automation:

- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines

- Ensure seamless code integration, testing, and deployment across environments

- Champion automation of build, deployment, and operational processes

4. Infrastructure & Cloud Management:

- Architect and manage scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP)

- Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and system resilience

5. Monitoring, Reliability & Performance:

- Establish robust monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)

- Ensure system reliability, uptime, and performance optimization

- Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

- Partner with Engineering, QA, Security, and Product teams to streamline SDLC processes

- Work closely with leadership and business stakeholders to align DevOps initiatives with business goals

- Communicate progress, risks, and improvements to senior management

7. Security & Compliance (DevSecOps):

- Implement security best practices across CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)

- Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related roles

- 3+ years of experience in team leadership or people management

- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.)

- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

- Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking, and security practices

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing

- Knowledge of SRE practices and reliability engineering principles

- Certifications such as AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or similar

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments (Jira, Confluence)
