We are hiring DGM- (Deputy IT Head) role with our client a reputed organization in the Automotive (Auto Component Manufacturing) industry.

Role Overview :

The Deputy IT Head will drive enterprise-wide IT strategy, digital transformation, and operational excellence across corporate and multiple plant locations. The role requires deep expertise in manufacturing IT, Industry 4.0, AI adoption, cloud computing, cybersecurity, ERP systems, and large-scale IT program delivery.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive leadership experience (15+ years) in managing IT operations, large teams, and multimillion budgets, with a proven track record in delivering ERP, IoT, cloud, and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

IT Strategy & Digital Transformation :

- Define and execute enterprise IT strategy aligned with business growth and operational efficiency.

- Lead Industry 4.0 initiatives, AI adoption, and digital transformation programs.

- Drive innovation across manufacturing, supply chain, analytics, and automation systems.

- Deliver measurable improvements in productivity, cost efficiency, and operational performance.

Infrastructure & Multi-Plant IT Management :

- Manage IT infrastructure across corporate office and multiple plant locations.

- Ensure high availability (target 99%+ uptime) for all critical systems.

- Oversee : 1. Networks & connectivity, 2. Data centers & servers, 3. Cloud & hybrid environments, 4. End-user systems and plant IT.

Cloud & Microsoft Ecosystem Leadership :

- Lead implementation and optimization of : 1. Microsoft Azure / Cloud platforms, 2. Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, AD).

- Drive cloud migration, governance, and cost optimization strategies.

- Ensure effective utilization of Microsoft tools for collaboration and productivity.

Cyber-security & Compliance :

- Define and enforce enterprise-wide cybersecurity and IT governance frameworks.

- Manage : 1. Data protection, 2. Risk and compliance, 3. ITGC audits, 4. Disaster recovery and business continuity.

- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and regulatory frameworks.

Enterprise Applications & Project Management :

- Lead large-scale implementations of : 1. ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), 2. Manufacturing and supply chain systems, 3. Dealer/Distributor Management Systems.

- Manage end-to-end software project lifecycle (Vendor coordination).

- Deliver projects within time, scope, and budget.

AI, IoT & Emerging Technologies :

- Drive adoption of : 1. AI/ML solutions for analytics and automation, 2. IoT, RFID, predictive maintenance systems.

- Identify business use cases and implement scalable technology solutions.

- Enhance decision-making through advanced analytics and BI tools (Power BI).

Budgeting & Vendor Management :

- Manage IT budgets (5 Cr - 15 Cr+) and drive cost optimization (15- 25% annually).

- Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.

- Ensure ROI-driven IT investments.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management :

- Lead and mentor large IT teams (20- 50+ members) across locations.

- Collaborate with IT HEAD, plant heads, and business leaders.

- Drive cross-functional alignment and change management initiatives.

Required Skills & Expertise :

- Strong knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Industry 4.0.

- Expertise in Cloud Platforms (Azure / Hybrid Cloud).

- Deep understanding of Cybersecurity & IT Governance.

- Strong experience in Infrastructure Management (Multi-site).

- Proven Software & ERP Project Management experience.

- Strong Microsoft ecosystem knowledge (M365 / Azure / AD / Collaboration tools).

- Experience in managing multi-plant IT environments.

- Expertise in budgeting, cost optimization, and vendor management.

Education & Certifications :

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science / IT (B.Sc / B.Tech / BE).

- Preferred : Certifications in Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Project Management & Training in Digital Transformation / AI.

- Knowledge of ISO standards.

Experience :

- 15+ years of IT experience (Senior leadership role).

- Extensive experience in : 1. Manufacturing / Automotive / Industrial sectors, 2. Multi-location, 3. Large-scale IT transformation programs.

- Proven success in managing : 1. Large teams, 2. Complex IT environments, 3. High-value vendor ecosystems.
