Role : Senior Database Administrator

We are looking for a passionate Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize our database systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in PostgreSQL, SQL, and MongoDB, with a solid understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS), database security, optimization, and disaster recovery strategies. This role will play a key part in ensuring database integrity, performance, security, and scalability.

Experience Range : 8-12 Years

Key Responsibilities :

- Ensure performance and availability of infrastructure

- Cloud service provisioning, optimization, security & billing control

- Deploy and operate Kubernetes cluster according to business scenarios

- Response to incidents promptly and identify potential issues

- Keep learning technologies and continuously optimize system security, performance, availability and scalability

- Design, implement, and manage PostgreSQL, SQL, and MongoDB databases.

- Configure and maintain RDS (Relational Database Service) instances and related cloud-based database solutions.

Performance Optimization & Monitoring :

- Monitor database health, performance, and capacity planning.

- Optimize queries, indexing, and database structures to improve efficiency.

- Implement database monitoring tools for proactive issue detection and resolution.

Security & Compliance :

- Ensure PostgreSQL/RDBMS security best practices are followed.

- Manage user roles, permissions, encryption, and access controls.

- Conduct regular security audits to safeguard sensitive data.

Disaster Recovery & Backup :

- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability.

- Plan and test disaster recovery procedures for business continuity.

Database Development & Support :

- Assist in schema design, indexing, and data migrations.

- Support development teams in query optimization and database-related troubleshooting.

- Ensure database upgrades, patches, and maintenance are executed efficiently.

Requirements :

- Proficiency in PostgreSQL and SQL (strong query writing, performance tuning).

- Proficiency in MongoDB, including experience in NoSQL data structures.

- Good understanding of RDS (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, etc.).

- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL/RDBMS security mechanisms (roles, privileges, encryption).

- Experience with database performance tuning, indexing, and monitoring tools.

- Expertise in backup and disaster recovery planning.

- Ability to work with large-scale database architectures and troubleshoot performance issues.

- Experience with cloud-based database solutions (AWS, Azure) is a plus.

- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation is a plus.
