Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with 5-7 years of experience to join our team in Navi Mumbai, specifically for a critical Payment Gateway project within the banking domain. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, secure, and scalable Java applications that are vital to our financial operations. This role requires a strong understanding of core Java principles, experience in enterprise application development, and an ability to work in a fast-paced banking environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement robust, scalable, and secure Java applications for a high-volume payment gateway system.

- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and other developers to translate functional and non-functional requirements into technical specifications and solutions.

- Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code following best practices and coding standards.

- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.

- Conduct thorough unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure high-quality deliverables.

- Troubleshoot and debug complex application issues, providing timely and effective resolutions.

- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security within the banking environment.

- Stay updated with the latest Java technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, particularly those relevant to financial services.

- Adhere to banking industry compliance and security standards in all development activities.

- Actively participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5-7 years of experience in Java application development.

- Strong proficiency in Core Java and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.

- Proven experience in developing enterprise-level applications.

- Understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).

- Familiarity with common Java frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring MVC) is highly beneficial.

- Experience working on Payment Gateway projects or within the banking/financial services domain is a significant plus.

- Knowledge of secure coding practices, especially relevant to financial transactions.

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines and critical banking norms.

Education: B.E. or Graduation in Computer Science or a related field.
