Job Description

Job Title : AWS Administrator

Location : Pune (5 day onsite)

Experience : 8-11 years

Responsibilities :


- Lead and guide the implementation and adoption of DevOps practices and principles across development and operations teams on the AWS platform.

- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure as code using AWS

CloudFormation.

- Architect and manage containerized environments using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS).

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using relevant AWS services (e.g., CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy) and other industry-standard tools.

- Implement and manage infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using AWS services (e.g., CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ELK stack).

- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments.

- Collaborate closely with development teams to understand their needs and provide guidance on best practices for cloud-native application development and deployment.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application deployment issues across systems, networks, and databases in the AWS environment.

- Ensure the security and compliance of the AWS infrastructure by implementing security best practices and leveraging AWS security services.

- Optimize infrastructure costs and performance through efficient resource utilization and automation.

- Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including infrastructure diagrams, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, DevOps tools, and industry trends, and recommend their adoption where appropriate.

- Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.

- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the overall cloud strategy.

- Advocate for and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices across the organization.

- Work in a diverse and inclusive multi-disciplinary agile team, actively participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Mandatory Skills :


- Extensive experience in AWS DevOps methodologies and best practices.

- Strong proficiency in CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.

- Intermediate to advanced level scripting skills in either Python OR Bash. (Intermediate scripting experience is mandatory).

- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker for containerization and orchestration on

AWS (EKS preferred).

- Proven experience in setting up and managing services in the AWS public cloud using

infrastructure as code principles.

- Solid experience in troubleshooting web applications, including diagnosing low-level issues related to systems, networks, and databases.

- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.

- Good understanding of networking concepts and web application security, including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and SSL/TLS.

- Experience with modern development workflows using Git and CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub.

Desired Skills :


- Experience with other infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.

- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef.

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.

- Knowledge of AWS security services such as IAM, Security Groups, NACLs, KMS, and

GuardDuty.

- Experience with serverless technologies on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway).

- Understanding of agile development methodologies.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

- Enthusiasm for sharing knowledge, leading by example, and mentoring others
