Role Overview :

We are seeking a Senior Technical Specialist with deep expertise in the Microsoft Business Intelligence (MSBI) stack, including SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, developing, tuning, and maintaining enterprise BI solutions, with strong SQL/T-SQL skills and the ability to lead technical initiatives in a client-facing role.

Key Responsibilities :

BI Solution Development & Implementation :

- Design, develop, and deploy SSIS ETL packages for efficient, accurate, and secure data movement between source systems, staging areas, and data warehouses.

- Build and enhance SSRS reports and SSAS cubes (MOLAP/ROLAP) to support analytical and reporting needs.

- Create and optimize complex SQL and T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

- Implement data integration strategies aligned with business requirements and technical best practices.

Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting :

- Perform SQL/T-SQL performance tuning and optimization for large datasets and high-volume transactions.

- Debug, tune, and refactor SSIS/ETL processes for optimal performance.

- Triage production issues, perform root cause analysis, and deploy code fixes with minimal downtime.

Data Architecture & Warehousing :

- Collaborate with Data Architecture teams to define and enhance data mart and data warehouse structures supporting BI applications.

- Assist in extending existing warehouse systems to accommodate new analytical requirements.

- Apply data warehousing best practices for data modeling, metadata management, and data governance.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership :

- Engage with business users to translate functional requirements into technical specifications for BI solutions.

- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to development teams and end users.

- Document solution architectures, coding standards, and best practices to ensure maintainability and scalability.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Core Expertise :

- 812 years of experience with MSBI tools SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS (mandatory).

- Advanced SQL/T-SQL development and performance tuning skills.

- Proven experience in data warehouse design and ETL processes.

- Strong knowledge of MDX and multidimensional modeling.

Development & Delivery :

- Hands-on experience in building complex BI applications from scratch.

- Expertise in implementing data integration pipelines and dashboard/reporting solutions.

- Agile/Scrum development experience preferred.

Additional Skills (Good to Have) :

- Experience with Power BI or other visualization tools.

- Knowledge of Python/PySpark for advanced data processing.

- Familiarity with Azure Data Services (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse).
