Datacenter Engineer - ACI

Key Responsibilities :

ACI Implementation & Administration :

- Deploy, configure, and manage Cisco ACI fabrics, including multi-pod and multi-site architectures.

- Ensure seamless integration of ACI with existing data center environments.

Network Operations & Troubleshooting :

- Perform end-to-end troubleshooting of ACI, Nexus, and Layer 2/3 network issues.

- Analyze packet flow and resolve complex routing, switching, and connectivity problems.

- Maintain uptime and service reliability through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.

Routing & Switching Management :

- Configure and manage BGP, OSPF, and STP protocols in enterprise data center setups.

- Optimize routing and switching configurations for performance, scalability, and resilience.

- EVPN-VxLAN Operations :

- Implement and manage EVPN-VxLAN for scalable and flexible Layer 2/3 overlays across data center environments.

- Troubleshoot overlay/underlay integration and ensure end-to-end network stability.

Hardware & Infrastructure Maintenance :

- Manage Cisco Nexus switches (5K, 7K, 9K) including software upgrades, configuration backups, and hardware health monitoring.

- Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for timely resolution of hardware issues.

Documentation & Compliance :

- Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration documentation, and change management records.

- Adhere to ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.

- Follow escalation procedures as per defined SLAs.

Shift Operations :

- Participate in 24x7 operational support through rotational shifts (day/night).

- Ensure smooth handover between shifts and maintain clear communication within the team.

Technical Skills Required :

- Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI Fabric, APIC, Leaf-Spine architecture, and EPGs/Contracts.

- Strong knowledge of EVPN-VxLAN, MP-BGP, OSPF, and STP.

- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Cisco Nexus (5K, 7K, 9K) switches.

- Familiarity with Data Center interconnects, Multi-Pod, and Multi-Site deployments.

- Understanding of Network Virtualization, QoS, and Fabric security mechanisms.

- Exposure to VPN, Firewalls, and Load Balancers (preferable).

- Experience with network monitoring and automation tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Ansible, Cisco DNA Center is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or related field.

- Cisco certifications such as CCNP Data Center, CCNP Enterprise, or CCIE (Data Center) preferred.

- Proven ability to work independently in high-pressure environments.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
