Own the health, performance and security of the databases underpinning the data platform: schema design, tuning, backup and recovery, access control and capacity planning, in support of the Data Engineering and BI teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement and maintain database schemas for transactional and analytical workloads.

- Tune queries, indexing and storage for performance and cost.

- Own backup, recovery, high availability and access-control policies.

- Support Data Engineers with reliable, well-structured source and mart databases.

- Monitor capacity and plan growth ahead of demand.

Qualifications & Skills :

- 4 - 7 years in database engineering or DBA roles (SQL Server, PostgreSQL or similar).

- Query tuning, indexing, partitioning, backup/recovery and security hardening.

- Cloud database services experience (Azure SQL or similar) preferred.
