Database Engineer - MySQL

We are seeking an experienced MySQL Database Engineer with strong expertise in AWS RDS (Relational Database Service) to manage, optimize, and support high-performance database environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and cloud-based database management.

Responsibilities :

- Manage and maintain MySQL databases hosted on AWS RDS.

- Monitor database performance, uptime, and reliability.

- Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and database configurations.

- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

- Handle database migrations, upgrades, and patching activities.

- Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance standards.

- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for deployment support.

- Troubleshoot production database issues and provide timely resolutions.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

- 5+ years of relevant experience in MySQL and AWS RDS administration.

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong experience with MySQL Database Administration.

- Hands-on expertise in AWS RDS (Relational Database Service).

- Experience in database performance tuning and query optimization.

- Knowledge of backup, recovery, replication, and high availability setups.

- Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting.

- Understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure and security best practices.

- Good knowledge of SQL scripting and stored procedures.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Aurora MySQL.

- Familiarity with Linux environments.

- Knowledge of automation/scripting tools.

- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
