Database Developer - SQL

We are looking for an experienced SQL Database Developer to join our engineering team.

The candidate will play a critical role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining our database systems to support product development and data analytics.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, and a strong understanding of data warehousing and OLTP systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Write and maintain SQL database objects such as views, tables, stored procedures, functions, and triggers

- Design, develop, and maintain SSIS packages, T-SQL scripts, and SQL jobs for data processing and ETL workflows

- Create and optimize complex stored procedures to load data into staging tables from OLTP and other intermediary systems

- Perform database design, normalization, indexing, and query performance tuning

- Design partitioning strategies for managing archived data efficiently

- Ensure adherence to best practices and standards for SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and Excel-based analytics tools (Power Pivot, Power View, Power Map)

- Document technical processes, business requirements, and data specifications for internal use

- Support database migration activities and implement authorization/authentication protocols

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, security, and scalability

Technical Skills & Requirements :

- Proficiency in writing complex Transact-SQL (T-SQL) code

- Expertise in MS SQL Server, including query tuning, indexing, and performance analysis

- Experience in developing and optimizing Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, Triggers

- Knowledge of columnstore indexing, query execution plans, and SQL Server column storage

- Experience in SSIS for ETL and workflow automation

- Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms in database systems

- Experience with database migration and transformation projects

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking capabilities

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications :

- Familiarity with Excel Power tools (Power Pivot, Power View, Power Map)

- Exposure to cloud-based SQL solutions (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus

- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
