Database Developer - PostgreSQL/DynamoDB

Role Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable database solutions using PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra).

- Optimize database performance, indexing strategies, and query execution for large datasets (gigabytes to terabytes).

- Implement data modeling strategies for both relational and non-relational systems.

- Manage and monitor database infrastructure on cloud platforms, especially AWS RDS.

- Work with cross-functional teams (backend, data, DevOps) to support data-driven applications.

- Ensure data integrity, security, backup, and recovery processes are in place.

- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and production issues.

- Automate database operations, deployments, and maintenance tasks.

- Evaluate and recommend database technologies based on use cases.

Required Skills :

- 3+ years of experience as a Database Developer or similar role.

- Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (query optimization, indexing, partitioning).

- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, Cassandra).

- Working knowledge of other RDBMS systems (MySQL, SQL Server, etc.).

- Experience handling large-scale datasets (GB to TB range).

- Strong proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning.

- Experience with AWS RDS or similar managed database services.

- Understanding of data replication, sharding, and high availability architectures.

- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation.
