Job Description :
We are looking for a skilled Database Developer to design, develop, and optimize database solutions across our insurance and wealth management analytics platform.
The role is primarily focused on writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and supporting data pipelines across multiple database engines with a strong emphasis on ClickHouse (OLAP analytics), PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
Key Responsibilities :
Query Development & Optimization :
- Write, review, and optimize complex SQL queries across ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
- Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
- Analyze and tune slow queries using execution plans, indexing strategies, and query profiling.
- Implement efficient pagination, filtering, and aggregation patterns for large datasets.
- Write parameterized queries with proper SQL injection prevention (escaping, parameterization).
ClickHouse Development (Primary) :
- Develop and optimize analytical queries for dashboards covering Gross Sales, AUM, Revenue, Cash Flow, Pipeline, and Client data.
- Design and implement MergeTree table engines, partitioning strategies, and materialized views.
- Build time-series aggregations with MTD, QTD, YTD, and custom date range filters.
- Optimize multi-dimensional queries (tier-wise, product-wise, category-wise, hierarchy-wise).
- Support direct SQL streaming for CSV report generation from ClickHouse HTTP interface.
PostgreSQL Development :
- Write and maintain PostgreSQL functions following schema.fn_function_name conventions.
- Develop functions for hierarchy resolution, employee-partner mapping, and master data lookups.
- Optimize Npgsql/.NET integration understanding EF Core function calls and raw ADO.NET patterns.
- Manage schema design across ciprevamp and partnermaster databases.
SQL Server Development :
- Develop queries and procedures for task management and mid-office data (taskmanager DB).
- Support reporting and audit data requirements from SQL Server.
Data Modeling & Design :
- Design normalized and denormalized schemas appropriate for OLTP vs OLAP requirements.
