About the Role :

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Architect SQL Server to design, optimize, and manage enterprise-scale database systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SQL Server, performance tuning, and modern cloud-based database solutions such as Azure SQL and PostgreSQL.

You will play a critical role in ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical data systems while collaborating closely with engineering and data teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable database architectures

- Write and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers

- Implement advanced performance tuning techniques including indexing and partitioning

- Manage and optimize databases across SQL Server, Azure SQL, and PostgreSQL environments

- Develop and maintain ETL processes, data pipelines, and migration strategies

- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure seamless database integration

- Automate routine database maintenance and monitoring tasks

- Design and implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions

- Ensure database security, compliance, and role-based access controls

- Stay updated with emerging database technologies and industry best practices

Required Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in SQL Server development and database architecture

- Strong expertise in T-SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning

- Hands-on experience with Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and cloud-based database platforms

- Proficiency in ETL tools (SSIS) and data transformation techniques

- Solid understanding of database security and access control mechanisms

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and scripting (PowerShell preferred)

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with big data technologies and NoSQL databases

- Exposure to data warehousing and BI tools

- Familiarity with tools and platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake

- Experience with database monitoring and profiling tools like Redgate, SolarWinds, SQL Profiler
