- Query & Script Development : Develop, test, maintain, and optimize robust database queries, store procedures, triggers, views, and automation scripts to support data processing solutions.

- Data Operations (ETL/ELT) : Extract, transform, validate, and load high-volume data across multiple database environments, ensuring high performance, integrity, and operational consistency.

- Performance Tuning : Troubleshoot database and scripting performance bottlenecks, optimize SQL execution plans, write efficient indexes, and re-engineer inefficient legacy scripts.

- Process Automation : Leverage Python and shell/batch scripting to build end-to-end data pipelines, schedule batch processes, and automate repetitive data management tasks.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner closely with software engineering, data analytics, product management, and business teams to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions.

- Data Quality & Governance : Establish validation rules, audit checks, and error-handling routines within scripts and database jobs to ensure high data accuracy and reliability.

- System Maintenance & Support : Perform root-cause analysis for production incidents related to databases or scripts, applying timely resolution and preventative fixes.

Technical & Professional Qualifications :

- Database Expertise : 5 - 7 years of hands-on experience with major relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle.

- Advanced SQL : Expertise in writing complex SQL queries, analytical functions, CTEs, stored procedures, functions, and database views.

- Scripting Languages : Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Shell/Bash, PowerShell) for task automation and basic-to-intermediate proficiency in Python for data processing and automation scripts.

- Data Modeling & Architecture : Good working knowledge of relational database schemas, normalization, indexing strategies, and database design principles.

- Problem-Solving & Logic : Excellent logical reasoning, debugging skills, and the ability to diagnose complex data anomalies and scripting issues.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills :

- Modern Cloud Data Platforms : Awareness or hands-on experience with cloud data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, Databricks, or AWS Redshift.

- Version Control : Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems for script and code repository management.
