What we're looking for :

- 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator in production environments.

- Strong operational expertise with PostgreSQL (version 10+) administration, replication, tuning, HA, backups.

- Strong operational expertise with MongoDB (version 5+) replica sets, sharding, tuning, backups, administration.

- Proficiency in writing and analyzing complex SQL queries and MongoDB aggregation pipelines.

- Deep understanding of database internals storage engines, WAL/journaling, MVCC, indexing, buffer management.

- Experience with database monitoring and alerting tools (pgAdmin, pg_stat_statements, MongoDB Compass, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).

- Hands-on experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures.

- Strong Linux/Unix administration skills and shell scripting (Bash, Python).

- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience managing databases in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues under pressure.

- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder reporting.

- Experience with PostgreSQL HA tools Patroni, pgpool-II, repmgr, Barman, pgBackRest, logical replication.

- MongoDB sharded cluster design, resharding, and chunk migration experience.

- Experience with cloud-managed databases AWS RDS/DocumentDB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL/AlloyDB.

- Familiarity with database migration tools (pgLoader, mongorestore, AWS DMS).

- Experience with connection poolers (PgBouncer, mongos).

- Relevant certifications (MongoDB Certified DBA, PostgreSQL certifications, AWS/Azure database specialties).
