Role Overview :

As a Database Administrator based in Bangalore, you will serve as the custodian of our mission-critical data environments, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance.

You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, DevOps architects, and stakeholders to design robust database architectures that support our clients' evolving business needs.

Your daily contributions will directly impact the reliability of our platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and system stability for end-users across the globe.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and maintain high-performance database environments using MSSQL and PostgreSQL to ensure data integrity and system uptime for enterprise applications.

- Execute advanced database performance tuning and query optimization to reduce latency and improve application response times for end-users.

- Manage database deployments within containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes to support scalable, cloud-native infrastructure.

- Implement automated backup, recovery, and disaster management strategies to safeguard business-critical information against data loss.

- Collaborate with development teams in an Agile environment to provide database schema design support and ensure smooth deployment cycles.

- Adhere to ITIL best practices for incident management, change control, and service delivery to maintain high standards of operational governance.

- Monitor system health and resource utilization on Linux-based servers to proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecks before they impact business operations.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in managing and scaling complex database architectures with a deep understanding of both MSSQL and PostgreSQL ecosystems.

- Proven ability to perform deep-dive performance tuning, including index optimization, execution plan analysis, and memory management.

- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration with the ability to troubleshoot database-level issues within containerized Docker and Kubernetes environments.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical database constraints to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

- Experience working within Agile development frameworks and a solid understanding of ITIL processes for enterprise-grade service management.

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, supported by 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in database administration.
