Key Responsibilities :

- Database Administration : Manage and maintain MySQL databases ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.

- Performance Tuning : Conduct query optimization, indexing strategies, and database tuning to support high volume banking transactions.

- Backup & Recovery : Implement and manage robust backup, disaster recovery, and failover procedures to ensure business continuity.

- Security & Compliance : Apply patches, conduct regular audits, and ensure compliance with RBI, PCI-DSS, and other banking regulations.

- Monitoring & Troubleshooting : Proactively monitor database health, resolve complex issues, and provide root cause analysis for incidents.

- Collaboration : Work closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams to support banking applications and core systems.

- Documentation : Maintain SOPs, audit logs, and technical documentation for regulatory and operational readiness.

- Mentoring : Guide L1/L2 DBAs, provide training, and ensure knowledge transfer for operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong expertise in MySQL database concepts, architecture, replication, clustering, and partitioning.

- Hands-on experience with MySQL Enterprise features, monitoring tools, and performance dashboards.

- Knowledge of banking domain processes including transaction management, treasury systems, and compliance requirements.

- Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting for automation.

- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure Database for MySQL, GCP) integrated with banking workloads.

- Minimum 5- 6 years of DBA experience, with at least 23 years at L3 level handling enterprise-scale databases.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certifications : MySQL Database Administrator Certification, Oracle Certified MySQL DBA, or equivalent.
