Role Overview :

As a MongoDB DBA at Sysmind Tech, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and performance of our MongoDB database infrastructure. You will work closely with development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure the availability, scalability, and security of our data. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing database performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing best practices for database management.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement robust and scalable MongoDB database solutions to meet business requirements.

- Manage and maintain MongoDB database environments, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.

- Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal system performance.

- Implement and maintain database security measures, including access control, encryption, and auditing, to protect sensitive data.

- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability in the event of a disaster.

- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.

- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and schema design for improved application performance.

- Implement and manage MongoDB replication and sharding strategies to ensure high availability and scalability.

- Develop and maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency.

- Automate database administration tasks using scripting and automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and manage MongoDB database environments in a production setting.

- Proven expertise in database tuning and performance optimization techniques to improve query performance and system efficiency.

- Strong understanding of MongoDB replication, sharding, and other high availability and scalability features.

- Experience in developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve database issues in a timely manner.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to achieve common goals.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
