Qualifications :

BE, BTech, MCA, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field with 6 to 12+ years of experience.

Required Skills :

- Install, configure, and maintain DB2 database systems (z/OS).

- Manage database infrastructure including instances, partitions, and clusters.

- Design and implement high availability solutions (HADR, clustering, replication).

- Perform database upgrades, fix packs, and patch management.

- Monitor system performance and tune database/OS resources for optimal performance.

- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

- Troubleshoot complex database/system-level issues and perform root cause analysis.

- Optimize memory, CPU, I/O, and storage configurations.

- Work closely with infrastructure teams for capacity planning and hardware sizing.

- Automate system-level DBA activities using scripting (Shell, Python, Perl).

Role & Responsibilities :

- Analyzing Database State (both Space and Performance wise).

- DB2 utility (Load, Unload, Image copy, Reorg etc.).

- Analyzing tablespaces for space and Performance.

- Writing queries.

- Database Refresh from one system to another.

- Ensure security compliance including authentication, authorization, and auditing.

- Support production environments with 24/7 availability (on-call as needed).

- Maintain system documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
