Role : Database Administrator (DBA)

Contract Duration : 6 months (Extendable)

Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our large-scale database systems (RDBMS or Timeseries Database).

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database architecture, performance tuning, security, backup strategies, and ensuring high availability and reliability of data systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 7- 8 years of experience as a DBA in a production environment.

- Strong knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and Time Series databases (QuestDB, etc.).

- Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.

- Hands-on experience with backup/recovery tools, high availability, and replication techniques.

- Proficiency in PL/SQL, T-SQL, and scripting languages (Shell).

- Familiarity with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, etc.) and DevOps tools.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
